Things landlords actually ask.

If your gross property + self-employment income is over £50,000, then yes — quarterly updates start from the period that begins on or after 6 April 2026. The £30,000 threshold follows from April 2027, and the £20,000 threshold from April 2028. ac-co.landlord is registered as MTD-recognised software with HMRC.

Yes. We connect to your bank via regulated Open Banking providers — access is strictly read-only, and we cannot initiate any payment. Your consent is re-confirmed every 90 days, and you can revoke it from your bank's app at any moment.

ac-co picks the channel each tenant actually reads. If a WhatsApp message goes unread for 12 hours, we automatically fall back to SMS, then to email. The whole chase ladder is logged for your records — useful if you ever need to evidence reasonable contact.

Mortgage interest, finance fees and arrangement costs on residential BTL are no longer deductible from rental income; instead you get a 20% tax-reducer at Final Declaration. ac-co.landlord calculates this on every BTL line and applies it at the right place — no manual splits.
