iXBRL · FRC 2025 & 2026 taxonomies · HMRC & Companies House

Your accounts, tagged in iXBRL.

Upload the statutory accounts you already have — Word, Excel or PDF. ac-co maps every figure to the FRC taxonomy, keeps your layout, checks the result against HMRC's and Companies House's own rules, and gives you an iXBRL file ready to attach to a CT600 or file at Companies House. No ledger, no re-keying.

HOW IT WORKS

From connected to filed, in four moves.

01

Upload

Pick the company from Companies House and drop in the accounts: .docx, .xlsx or .pdf.

02

Map

Every figure, both years, is matched to an FRC taxonomy concept — rules first, then patterns from public Companies House filings, then AI. Anything uncertain is flagged for you.

03

Review

The tag editor shows tagged figures in green, suggestions in amber, gaps in red. Fix a tag once and apply it to every repeat.

04

Check & export

Validation plus HMRC and Companies House rules and arithmetic checks; approve a frozen version and export the iXBRL file.

Talk to us

Reading a large scanned PDF is quoted separately before it starts, like every document read in ac-co.

OBJECTIONS

Before you buy.

Will it change my accounts?

No. The figures come straight from your Word or Excel file — no model invents a number — and your layout stays. Tagging adds the iXBRL markup underneath; you review every tag before you approve.

What about PDFs?

PDFs work too. We read the statements from the PDF and set them in a clean statutory template with your labels, order and both years. A large scanned PDF asks before it spends on reading.

How do I know it will be accepted?

Before you can approve, every version is validated (Arelle) and checked against HMRC's and Companies House's own iXBRL rules plus arithmetic and completeness checks. Each finding links to the rule it comes from.

Can you just do it for us?

Yes — managed tagging. Send the accounts; our team tags them and a second person checks every job before it is released to you. You approve and export it the same way.

Who is responsible for the accounts?

You are, as with any filing software: you approve the tagged document before it is exported. We are responsible for technically valid iXBRL and for tagging the figures you approved.
